2022 aug ten days of melodious, infuriating silence in the desert: my vipassana virgin journey
2022 may the longest and most important piece I've written (as part of a divinity school writing seminar this spring): this is a journey through my final year of graduate school, but also a ride through the privilege and malaise of bearing witness to new communities and chasing proximity to new kinds of difference; one of discovering truths and reckoning with their contradictions; of telling my own story through the stories of others; of learning and unlearning how I have been trained to engage with the world (and re-learning to feel alive through surrender); of starting with capitalism and somehow stumbling upon divinity. my deepest gratitude to the inimitable Terry for her guidance, voice, and transcendant spirit. no link for now... live readings only ;)

2021 jul a quick primer on feminism after an audiobook rabbithole on a roadtrip through the Tetons left me confused
2019 may for Radhika, for my own remarkable mother, and for all the other tirelessly loving parents out there: a short piece on the simple joys of the farmer's market. I wrote this from New York before I found my footing, back when it felt empty and cold and expensive. It made me desparately miss the warmth of California spring, nostalgic for the cool stickiness of peach juice dripping from my chin on a sunny Saturday morning in middle school with nothing to do all day but sample fruit at the farmers' market with my mom. Happy mother's day to all the greats!
